1. Who we are and what this notice covers
Watchtower Biosurveillance Inc. is located in British Columbia, Canada. This notice explains how we handle personal information associated with our informational website and messages you choose to send to our contact mailbox.
This notice does not cover a future Watchtower platform, customer service, or data-processing relationship. Those activities require separate agreements and privacy notices.
Our Privacy Officer can be reached at contact@watchtowerbio.com.
2. Information received and why it is used
Website requests and security
Cloudflare delivers and helps secure this website. It receives ordinary request and connection information, such as your IP address, browser and device request headers, requested pages or assets, timestamps, and available security signals. We use relevant information to operate the site, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
Email inquiries
If you email us, you provide your email address, any sender details you include, and the content of your message. We use this information to respond and manage your inquiry. The address contact@watchtowerbio.com is a Google Workspace group mailbox, and authorized group members may receive your message through Google Workspace.
Please avoid sending health, security, or other sensitive details through ordinary email unless we request them through an appropriate channel.
Website features
The site has no contact form, newsletter signup, advertising pixel, or analytics product. Its font is served from the site. We do not sell personal information collected through this website or use it for targeted advertising.
3. Service providers and processing locations
Cloudflare handles website delivery and security information, and Google Workspace handles messages sent to our contact group, as described above.
Cloudflare operates a global network. Website request information may be processed in the United States or other locations and is subject to Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. We do not promise a particular processing region or a fixed Cloudflare log-retention period.
4. Cookies
We do not use cookies for analytics or targeted advertising. Cloudflare may set a security cookie when a relevant Cloudflare security feature or challenge requires it. These cookies help protect the website; see Cloudflare’s cookie information.
5. Retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as reasonably needed to respond and manage the inquiry and to meet legitimate legal or business requirements. Cloudflare’s handling of service records follows its own terms and the account’s configuration. Retention depends on the information and purpose; this notice does not set a fixed retention period for provider records.
6. Safeguards
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, including limiting access to inquiry messages to authorized recipients. No website, email system, or method of transmission can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
7. Requests and privacy concerns
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent where applicable. Contact our Privacy Officer at contact@watchtowerbio.com and describe your request. We may need enough information to verify your identity before responding. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to respond to or continue an inquiry.
You can also use that address to raise a concern about our handling of personal information. If your concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia. The rights and complaint processes available to you depend on the law that applies to your circumstances.
